Ich freue mich, das nächste Data Visualization Meeting vom 17. November ab 17h anzukünden, das an der BFH (Brückenstrasse 73, Raum H033) und online<https://bbb.ch-open.ch/b/ann-zu5-psj-wts> stattfinden wird. Eingeladen sind Lorin Reber<https://www.linkedin.com/in/lorin-reber-492016b5/> von der BEDAG, er entwickelte ein CH-Karten-Plug-In zum Hervorheben von geografischen Grenzen der Berner Gemeinden und wird vorstellen, welche technischen Herausforderungen er dazu überwinden musste.

Zudem zeigt uns Kerrie Stauffer<https://www.bfh.ch/wirtschaft/de/ueber-das-departement-wirtschaft/personen/rz2ldukpdcyh/> vom Digital Sustainability Lab (DSL) die Visualisierung «Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment», welche die Darstellung von räumlichen und zeitlichen Veränderungen in wichtigen Biodiversitätsgebieten in den Bergen ermöglicht.

Im Anschluss gibt es ein kleines Apéro und etwas Zeit für Austausch. Bei der Gelegenheit möchte ich auf das letzte Meeting vom 8. September hinweisen. Mir ist ein Fehler unterlaufen mit der (damals noch nicht aktualisierten) Mailingliste , in der Folge haben die Einladungen nur wenig Leute erreicht. Folglich hat das Meeting in einem sehr kleinen Rahmen stattgefunden. Dafür möchte ich mich entschuldigen, denn an den Inhalten hat es nicht gelegen. Die waren äusserst spannend mit Beiträgen von Simon Schmid (Journalist von der Republik), Jasmin Nussbaumer (DSL) und Jurek Müller (DSL). Dear members of the Data Visualization Group

I am pleased to announce the next Data Visualization Meeting that will take place on November 17 at 17 p.m on site at BFH (Brückenstrasse 73, H033) and online<https://bbb.ch-open.ch/b/ann-zu5-psj-wts>. Invited are Lorin Reber<https://www.linkedin.com/in/lorin-reber-492016b5/> from BEDAG, he will present a plug-in for maps that he developed for highlighting the geographical boundaries of the municipalities in Berne. Kerrie Stauffer<https://www.bfh.ch/wirtschaft/de/ueber-das-departement-wirtschaft/personen/rz2ldukpdcyh/> (DSL) will present the visualization "Global Mountain Biodiversity Assessment", which allows the visualization of spatial and temporal changes in important biodiversity areas in the mountains. Afterwards there will be an apéro and some time for having a chat and continue the discussions. I would like to take this opportunity to refer to the last meeting on September 8. I made a mistake with the (not yet actualized) mailing list and reached only a few of you with my invitations, thus, the meeting took place in a very small setting. I would like to apologize for this.
