Linux live image does not boot on new computer

right; your notebook needs newer kernel and intel xorg driver. I've put
them into the repository last week proper (kernel 4.4 and current intel
driver that is).

we'll finish updating a few more backports in the next comming days and
hopefully have new images up by the end of next week.
