Dear all,
When running a dist-upgrade, I got an error message that the method
driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/https could not be found and then had to
install packages without verification. When trying to install
apt-transport-https as recommended, I got the following result:

The following NEW packages will be installed:
   apt-transport-https
0 upgraded, 1 newly installed, 0 to remove and 8 not upgraded.
Need to get 138 kB of archives.
After this operation, 195 kB of additional disk space will be used.
WARNING: The following packages cannot be authenticated!
   apt-transport-https
Install these packages without verification? [y/N] y
E: The method driver /usr/lib/apt/methods/https could not be found.
N: Is the package apt-transport-https installed?
blah at blubb$

So the recommended solution to not being able to install
apt-transport-https is to install apt-transport-https? Does anyone have
an idea if this is something I should ignore or if there is a way to fix
it? Thanks a lot!

Cheers
Stan
