How to establish a l2tp vpn connection?

I'm trying to connect to a vpn network through l2tp and tried 
strongswan, but it does not give me an option for l2tp. Does anyone have 
an idea what else I could try? Thanks! I'm on the Jessie-based prgoress 
linux, by the way.
